The foreigner residence law is an area in which special attention should be paid to a number of details the omission of which can make it more difficult for foreigners and their employers to obtain the permit for legal residence and employment in the territory of the Czech Republic. Based on our law firm’s experience, we know that there are many problems in these types of proceedings, usually caused by a combination of the unclear legislative framework of this issue, the ineffective procedure of the authorities, and the manner of communication between civil servants and clients, i.e. third country nationals. As a result, applicants often do not know that there has been a problem in their proceedings.
